MOSCOW, March 25 (RIA Novosti) - A thief that stole a car on Sakhalin Island in Russia's Far East, drove off with the owner's three-month-old baby still inside, local police said on Tuesday.
The car owner parked his vehicle leaving the baby in the car to go shopping. When he returned, both the vehicle and baby had gone.
A police search for the car was organized, officers located the vehicle and arrested the thief. The baby was returned to the father unharmed.
In late February, a driver in St. Petersburg was forced to chase after a tow truck that had driven away with his illegally-parked car - with his eight-year-old son still inside. The man filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office against the traffic officer involved.
