MOSCOW, August 1 (RIA Novosti) - Five people were killed in a road accident in the southern Russian Volga region of Saratov, a local law enforcement source said Friday.
The driver apparently lost control of his Lada car near the town of Balashov on Thursday and hit a tree before crashing into a pond.
"The driver and four passengers died at the scene," the source said. An investigation is ongoing.
