Russia needs "drive" in order to develop with stability, President Medvedev said in his TV address to the nation on Friday.
"We can't just rest on our achievements. We have succeeded for some time in doing a lot. We have stabilized the situation in the country, taken under control very difficult social processes which were destructive, which could have broken our state into bits," Medvedev said.
"But just reviving stability by itself is not enough. There has to be drive. And drive - it is a wish to do something, it is an intention to outdo yourself," he said.
"Those who consider that everything is OK with them, they will stay in Courcheval," he said.
