The world curling championships, due to take place in Russia’s Urals, have been hit by disruption to flights caused by the eruption of a volcano in Iceland, a spokesperson said on Friday.
The tournament is scheduled to run from April 18-24 in the city of Chelyabinsk.
“The teams from England, Norway, Wales, Scotland and Canada have not yet arrived,” spokesperson said.
He added that the competition would start as scheduled.
