Airport authorities in the United Arab Emirates have denied reports that they have stopped refueling Iranian passenger planes over sanctions against the Islamic Republic, The Hindustan Times said on Tuesday.
"Dubai Airports Authority confirms that Iranian airlines operating in and out of Dubai International Airport continue to be refueled," an official from Dubai Airports was quoted as saying.
The Iranian news agency ISNA had earlier reported that airports in the United Arab Emirates, Britain and Germany had refused to refuel Iranian passenger jets over sanctions imposed by the UN Security Council on Iran over its nuclear program.
The UN sanctions, adopted on June 9, include tougher financial controls and an expanded arms embargo, as well as an asset ban on three dozen companies and a travel freeze on individuals.
