The Gaddafi family will "live and die in Libya," Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the son and heir-apparent of the Libyan leader told CNN-Turk on Friday.
Up to 1,000 people have been killed and some 4,000 have been wounded by government forces since violent demonstrations and protests against the country's longtime leader Muammar Gaddafi began on February 15. The unrest, which began in the west of the country, has now spread to the capital, Tripoli.
"Plan A is to live and die in Libya, Plan B is to live and die in Libya, Plan C is to live and die in Libya," Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, 38, said.
Muammar Gaddafi, who has ruled the north African nation for 42 years, appeared on national TV on Tuesday to personally "dismiss false reports" that he had fled Libya for Venezuela.
