Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Friday accepted the resignation of Defense Minister Bogdan Klich.
His departure follows the release of an official Polish report that faults Polish pilots and officials for last year's plane crash that killed then President Lech Kaczynski, his wife and 94 top military and civilian officials.
The prime minister said Klich had signaled his intention to step down several months ago, but he remained in his post, which included heading the commission investigating the accident, until the report was published.
Unlike Russian reports into the crash, the Polish commission found fault with Russian air traffic controllers.
