MOSCOW (Sputnik) — It is impossible to guarantee safety for Russians in Turkey, with south of country practically mired in civil war, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday.
"There is practically civil war taking place in the south, we try to not notice it, the international community also somehow does not notice it, but it is a fact, and with use of large military equipment, heavy weaponry, tanks, artillery and so on. And terrorist attacks happen almost every week in Turkey, where is the guarantee that nothing will happen to our tourists?," Putin said during his direct line session.
