MOSCOW, January 14, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Defence Ministry has drawn up a programme on unmanned aircraft. Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Air Force Vladimir Mikhailov spoke about it on Wednesday at the news conference in Moscow.
"Without such vehicles our possibilities will be much lower," said the Commander-in-Chief.
According to Mikhailov, in order to speed up this programme it is necessary to use the aircraft which have exhausted their resource, but which may be fitted with appropriate equipment. MiG-27 fighters are useful for this purpose.
