MOSCOW, JANUARY 14, 2004. (RIA NOVOSTI). Leader of the Homeland bloc economist Sergei Glazyev is going to propose to the KPRF to create a single people's-patriotic coalition during the presidential election campaign.
"It is time we stopped repeating one and the same blunders," Glazyev said at a RIA Novosti press conference on Wednesday.
In the autumn of 2003, before the State Duma election the communists refused to form a single bloc of the people's-patriotic forces, and the Homeland election bloc was created shortly after that.
Glazyev believes that the communist party made a mistake when it nominated a candidate for presidency not consulting the people's-patriotic forces.
He expressed hope that the KPRF "will overcome the inner crisis connected with gross strategic mistakes of party leader Gennady Zyuganov, which may lead to KPRF isolation, and called on the KPRF leaders "to lower their ambitions."
