"Crown Prince Abdallah's invitation to the leader of the Chechen republic, is a recognition of our authority and demonstrates an understanding that the operation, which is being carried out in Chechnya, is not against Muslims. This is very crucial point." Mr. Kadyrov told reporters at the Vnukovo airport before leaving for Saudi Arabia,
He reported that during the official visit a number of important meetings are scheduled. Besides conducting negotiations with the crown prince, meetings with the Minister of Defense and Aviation Sultan bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud, Minister of Public Health Hamad bin Abdallah al-Manei, and representatives of large Saudi Arabian businesses are also on the agenda.
"We have proposals," Mr. Kadyrov said. "I do not think that some documents will be signed during the visit. But we have proposals in the sphere of justice and petroleum."
The official visit of the Chechen delegation to Saudi Arabia will take place January 15-18.
