He pointed out that, though "a great deal has already been done" at the talks, there still remain "problems on which no mutually acceptable understandings have been reached."
This includes "a number of farm produce, aircraft equipment, motor vehicles and some other goods," the minister said. According to Gordeyev, "most difficult are the discrepancies in Russia's commitments in regard to the size of state subsidies to agriculture."
At the same time, Gordeyev considers that "Russia, on the whole, has entered a final stage of the talks with the WTO, at which most difficult problems are to be resolved."
"Further progress will be depend on the preparedness of Russia's partners to display a constructive and pragmatic approach in solving matters that are most sensitive for the Russian side," he pointed out.
The Agriculture Minister heads the Russian delegation at the East-West agrarian forum in Berlin.
