He stated this on Monday in the course of the meeting with UN Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Jan Egeland.
According to the Minister, "if refugees from Chechnya want to stay on Ingushetia's territory their desire will be fulfilled."
By Ilyasov's information, approximately 55,000 forced migrants from Chechnya are now living in Ingushetia, with 5,000 of them staying in three tent camps. "We will make calculations on the families who will not return to the Chechen Republic, and will organize their life on Ingushetia's territory," the Minister said.
But, according to him, the Russian authorities plan to move the camps for forced migrants from Ingushetia onto the territory of the Chechen Republic. "We are ready to complete this work very soon," Ilyasov said.
