In his words, the prosecutor's office should heighten its attention to the safety of weapons, ammunition and explosives at army warehouses. We know many cases when terrorists use high-precision weapons used by the army," said Ustinov.
He added that knowing about this is one matter while finding the traitors and bringing them to account is a different matter.
"Control in this sphere should be regarded as a condition for thwarting the channels of weapons provision for the criminal world," said the prosecutor general.
Ustinov noted that such incidents at army warehouses testified to the lack of control on behalf of the commanders and military prosecutors. As an example, the prosecutor general cited explosions at army deposits in the Far Eastern and Moscow military districts and locals' discovery of shells and other ammunition at former locations of military bases.
