GROZNY, February 3. /RIA Novosti correspondent/ -- A source in the Joint Group of Federal Forces in the North Caucasus said that one serviceman perished and two more were wounded as a result of a terrorist act in Shali, a Chechen district centre.
The source said that "an unidentified device exploded during the passage of a tank truck and an escort armoured personnel carrier in an outskirt of Shali district centre on Tuesday morning." As a result, three servicemen of the Russian Interior Ministry troops were wounded, and one of them later died in the hospital, the source added.
