The minister will meet with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov, Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov, Economic Development Minister German Gref and Communications Minister Leonid Reiman, Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov and top managers of the Russian diamond producing company Alrosa.
The talks will touch upon bilateral cooperation in telecommunications, as well as importation of Russian diamonds, an embassy representative said.
Russia is one of major suppliers of uncut diamonds to Israel, he said.
The Israeli minister will also take part in a seminar on bilateral cooperation in telecommunications. Representatives of 40 largest Russian and Israeli companies will participate in the seminar.
By the estimate of the Israeli embassy, trade and economic cooperation between the two countries has been actively developing in recent years. Its volume reached almost $800 million last year.
