MOSCOW, 5 February. /RIA Novosti/. On Thursday the Department of information and press of the Russian Foreign Ministry informed RIA Novosti that Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan discussed on the phone the Iraqi settlement situation and development of events in the Middle East.
The parties also exchanged opinions on other urgent international issues.
