MOSCOW, February 13 (RIA Novosti) - The Kremlin deems it necessary to organize systemic work on stemming intentional and fictitious bankruptcies.

Every year Russia's Federal Financial Rehabilitation Service exposes more than 500 cases of intentional bankruptcy, deputy head of the Russian president's administration Viktor Ivanov stated at an enlarged meeting of the Russian Interior Ministry's Board on Friday.

"The specialists of the Federal Service annually prepare over 500 conclusions on the facts of intentional bankruptcy, whereas there are very few cases of criminal-procedural formalization of such crimes. So, for now, the operational-investigative practice is inadequate to the situation obtaining," Ivanov stated.

It is necessary to organize systemic work on revealing and stemming intentional and fictitious bankruptcies on the part of dishonest entrepreneurs, "especially if it concerns enterprises of the military-industrial complex, large sectors, and city-forming enterprises," the deputy head of the Kremlin administration noted.

Taking part in the work of the Board are, in particular, Acting Minister of the Interior Rashid Nurgaliyev, Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov, FSB director Nikolai Patrushev, Prosecutor-General Vladimir Ustinov, and chairman of the Audit Chamber Sergei Stepashin.
