MOSCOW, February 18, 2004. (RIA Novosti correspondent Dmitry Panovkin). The restoration of trust and consensus within the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is the focus of the negotiations between OSCE and Russia, OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Pasi said, following the talks with President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TPP) Yevgeny Primakov on Wednesday.

"Russia is an important OSCE member and no major steps can be taken without Russia's support," Pasi said.

"Our main purpose is to create good climate between the presiding organization and the Russian Federation," the OSCE Chairman-in-Office added. According to him, he is satisfied with the talks in Moscow.

Yevgeny Primakov and Solomon Pasi discussed the implementation of agreements achieved during the Russian President's visit to Bulgaria in March 2003. In particular, they considered the development of bilateral trade and economic relations and the formation of a permanent Russian-Bulgarian business-forum.
