Energy Minister Igor Yusufov said this at a meeting on Wednesday with Semen Kukes, chairman of the board of Yukos, and Yuri Beilin, deputy chairman of the board.
The Yukos press release says that they discussed at the meeting matters of current work of Yukos.
"The company's strategy is in line with Russia's strategy of development of the oil sector, which by 2009 can become the largest producer and supplier of oil onto the world market," Kukes said.
The sides discussed work done on the governmental resolution On the Measures to Ensure and Carry out Seasonal Field Farming Work in 2004 and regarding Yukos participation in contractual work with agricultural producers.
In addition, the course of the Yukos contractual work to supply oil products to the basic government-financed organizations of the defense and interior ministries and others was also considered.
