MOSCOW, FEBRUARY 20. /RIA NOVOSTI / -- Gazprom and Beltransgaz have agreed to continue talks on the supply of Russian gas to Belarus on Tuesday, February 24, a source in the Russian gas concern said to RIA Novosti.
As reported earlier, on February 19 the central office of Gazprom housed a meeting between chairman of the board Alexei Miller and Petr Petukh, general director of the OAO Beltransgaz company.
The two exchanged opinions on the present gas-supply situation and agreed to continue talks on the conclusion of contracts between Gazprom and Beltransgaz in a few days to come.
Gazprom press secretary Sergei Kupriyanov said to RIA Novosti the talks seem to have moved on.
"Yes, progress has been made: we have agreed on what to do next to conclude contracts. But some questions still remain", he said.
