* On the last day of the Shrovetide Week, Vasilyevsky Spusk in Moscow's Red Square will see the pancake show - an attempt to set a new record to bake the highest pile of pancakes, and the ceremony of bidding farewell to Maslenitsa.

* The second international Baikal festival of winter games "Zimniada-2004" (February 22 - March 8) will open. Its program includes all-Russian competitions in skating, the Cup of Siberia and the Far East on ice alpinism, and the international tourist exhibition "Baikaltur-2004."
