PARIS, MARCH 3. /RIA NOVOSTI / -- Russia will pass to Belarus S-300 systems removed from combat duty, Russian acting Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov told journalists in Paris on Wednesday.
"The terms of shipment are as follows: we have antiaircraft missile systems S-300 no longer assigned to the armed forces and not in working order. The Defence Ministry will pass them to the Committee for Military-Technical Cooperation, which in turn will conclude an agreement with the Belarussian side for pre-export preparation at the expense of the Belarussian side", Sergei Ivanov said.
Earlier, a high-ranking source in the Defence Ministry said that S-300 antiaircraft missile systems could be shipped in combat-ready state to Belarus in the next six months.
