"Everything is not smooth with compensations payment, all normative documents have not been prepared," Ms. Pamfilova said at a meeting with the head of state.
"The commission has prepared a substantial reference file on the situation around the temporarily displaced persons from the Chechen republic," Ms. Pamfilova said. "The task was to prevent emergency rush in the process of moving people back (to the Chechen republic)." Mr. Putin asked Ms. Pamfilova whether the information that places for resettlers in the Chechen republic were not ready was confirmed.
Ms. Pamfilova said members of the human rights commission visited facilities for temporary accommodation of displaced persons and found that there are over 300 free places in the republic. There are some problems, however, including with water supply.
Besides, in Pamfilova's words, people are not always truly informed about what awaits them. "Contradictory information comes from different officials, not all documents are ready, people just 'get lost'," Ms. Pamfilova added.
