This was said at a Saturday press conference by leader of the public organization "People's Patriotic Union 'Rodina'" Sergei Glazyev. On his initiative, the first congress of this organization was held in Moscow Saturday.
Mr. Glazyev created public organization "People's Patriotic Union 'Rodina'" this January, arousing criticism on the part of his colleague - co-chairman of the Rodina bloc, Dmitry Rogozin. Relations between the two leaders got aggravated after Glazyev self-nominated his candidacy for presidential elections, to take place March 14.
On Mr. Rogozin's initiative, the bloc-forming party - the Party of Russian regions of the Rodina bloc was renamed at the congress into the Rodina party. Having dismissed Sergei Glazyev from the post of co-chairman of the Party of Russian Regions, Mr. Rogozin also initiated Mr. Glazyev's dismissal from the post of the leader of the Rodina faction in the State Duma (lower house of the Russian parliament).
