IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei said this at a session of the IAEA Board of Governors held in the Vienna HQ.
The director general specially noted "Tehran-granted access to all facilities interesting international inspectors, as well as documentation and conversations with persons having to do with the process of uranium enrichment." These measures contribute to the creation of a climate of trust in Iran-IAEA relations, said Mr. ElBaradei.
At the same time he voiced serious concern over the fact that "the official statement of the Iranian government made in October 2003 did not touch upon the issue of Tehran having a P-2 nuclear centrifuge and the capabilities of creating own nuclear weapons resulting from it." In Mr. ElBaradei's words, this "testifies to the lack of Iran-declared transparency in nuclear issues."
