Mr. Fradkov has been in the public eye for just a couple of weeks now, so only a quarter of the respondents have been able to get some idea of what kind of person he is (twenty-two percent said they liked him while four percent admitted that their first impression was rather negative). Fifty-one percent of those surveyed said they still don't know what to make of their new Premier; twenty-three percent failed to come up with any reply at all.
Twenty-one percent of the pollees expect Mr. Fradkov to do a better job than his predecessor, Mikhail Kasyanov; 18 percent predict he will perform just as well; and 6 percent fear he won't be as good as the ex-premier. Fifty-six percent of those interviewed believe that it is still too early to say how effective Mr. Fradkov will be in his new capacity.
