MOSCOW, March 15, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- The media used fewer dirty technologies involving the leakage of "compromising materials" and contract investigations during the 2004 election campaign, Igor Yakovenko, secretary general of the Russian Union of Journalists, said at a press conference in Moscow on Monday.
"In the volume of dirty technologies used during this campaign, it was ten times cleaner than the previous one," he believes. He explains this largely by the partial replacement of the information resource with administrative tools.
