TEHRAN, March 17, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - The secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Hasan Rowhani, said that Iran is ready to allow International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors to inspect Iranian nuclear facilities.

"We closely cooperate with the agency and its inspectors, all of the preparations have been made for them, and they did not and will not have any problems with inspections in Iran," Mr. Rowhani said on Wednesday.

According to him, "the date (March 27, 2004) inspectors will arrive, which was determined by IAEA Secretary General Mohammed al-Baradei, is correct."

"From this day on, specialists of the agency can begin working," Mr. Rowhani added.

He rejected assertions that Iran set any conditions for the inspectors before they could enter Iran.

"Tehran did not make any conditions for the entry of IAEA experts to Iran and the visit was postponed because it coincides with the celebration of Nouruz, which according the Iranian calendar is the New Year, 1383. It is celebrated on the vernal equinox, March 21," he noted.
