MOSCOW, March 25, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Central Election Commission will send observers to Georgia to monitor parliamentary elections scheduled for March 28, along with other international observers.
According to the Central Election Commission, its delegates will be headed by Vasily Volkov, a member of the commission. The delegates intend to watch the work of Georgian election commissions, and visit polling stations during the vote and vote counting.
Russian observers will also meet with the leadership of the Georgian Central Election Commission, OSCE observers in that country, as well as representatives of the Georgian political parties running for parliament.
