MOSCOW, March 25, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Ilya Lomakin-Rumyantsev has been appointed chief of the federal service of insurance supervision (of the finance ministry).
According to the government information department, an order to the effect was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov.
Ilya Lomakin-Rumyantsev (born September 5, 1957) has an education in economics. In 1998-August 2000, he headed the insurance supervision department of the finance ministry. In March 2001, he became a member of the upper house and first deputy chairman of the budget committee of the Federation Council.
RIA Novosti has also learnt about the appointment of Former Minister for Chechnya Stanislav Ilyasov to the post of chief of the federal fisheries service (of the ministry of agriculture and fisheries). Mr. Ilyasov said that Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov had signed an order to the effect.
