SOCHI, March 26, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - On March 26, Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend a plenary meeting of the Public Forum of the Peoples of the Caucasus and Russia's South.
The forum will involve representatives of different public organisations, religions, scholars, principals of educational institutes, representatives of ethnic cultural associations, of veteran organisations and of the Cossack forces, poets, writers, governors of Southern Russia's regions, heads of municipal entities, top executives of major industrial enterprises based in the South and representatives of medical institutions.
This is the first forum of this kind. It will involve a total of more than 200 participants.
On Thursday, the president held a conference with top officials of Russia's Southern Federal District and a series of meetings with the governors of Southern Russia on the sidelines of the forum.
