MOSCOW, March 26 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Interior ministry troops' losses since this year's beginning totaled 16 people, Army General Vyacheslav Tikhomirov, Commander-in-Chief of the Interior Troops told a press conference.
"We must admit that we have not learnt to fight terrorists without casualties yet. Since this year's beginning, our losses in the Chechen Republic have reached 16 people," Gen. Tikhomirov said.
At the same time, the General said, interior troops losses in the Chechen Republic reduce by 30-40% annually.
"This makes it possible for us to look our subordinates straight into the eyes and take all possible measures to further reduce the losses," said the General.
