SOCHI, 27 March 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Vladimir Putin has disclosed the reasons causing dismissal of the Kasyanov government.
"It was evident in the past few years that the government headed by Kasyanov had been losing momentum," Russian President told journalists on Saturday.
Kasyanov admitted it himself, the head of state pointed out.
"Everyone was preoccupied with the election gambits and did not have the heart to launch either administrative or major economic reforms. This is the second and maybe the main reason behind the government's dismissal," President said.
Vladimir Putin referred to the need of regular personnel change in such key administrative bodies as the national government as the first reason for dismissal of the Kasyanov government.
