Six trucks with humanitarian cargo returned to the base after 2-hour delay at the administrative border with Kosovo, Chairman of Red Cross in Kosovo Dr. Bora Moracic disclosed to Serbian Agency Tanjug. As it was reported, servicemen of the Peacekeeping Forces French contingent didn't provide an escort across the territory populated by Albanians. The Red Cross plans to repeat tomorrow the attempt to deliver cargo to the destination point.
Up until present moment 14 trucks from Russia with humanitarian cargo arrived in Kosovo. The humanitarian aid was destined for Serbian refugees after a wave of violence in the region on March 17-19. The aid was delivered by planes and trucks to Belgrade and afterwards to Kosovo. All in all, Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered to Kosovo approximately 380 metric tons of humanitarian aid for Serbian refugees.
