CHISINAU, April 5, 2004. (RIA Novosti). Moldovan exports to Russia grew by 32% in January-February 2004 and reached $41.7 million.
Russia's share in Moldovan exports reduced from 34% to 33.6% over this period, the Moldovan statistic department said on Monday.
Moldovan imports of Russian goods grew by 36.9% up to $40.7 million in the first two months of 2004 against the same period in 2003.
Russia's share in Moldovan imports grew from 20.2% to 20.9%.
Russia is a major importer of Moldovan wines, brandies, tinned fruit and vegetables, natural juices and other products. Moldova imports mainly energy resources from Russia, the department said.
