This is said in the communique of its secretariat circulated in Moscow on Tuesday.
The Office welcomes this decision of Germany and notes that the sum will help to provide ad-hoc housing for internally displaced persons voluntarily returning to Chechnya or remaining in Ingushetia.
The Moscow Office views the provision of alternative housing in Ingushetia (Chechnya's neighbour) as a necessary factor for the voluntary return of refugees.
In case of a voluntary return, the Office provides ad-hoc housing for returnees until they rehabilitate their permanent housing.
Alongside Germany, the governments of The Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States together with the office of the European Commission for Humanitarian Organisations have made a contribution to the activities of the Office in the protection of rights of, and the provision of housing to displaced persons in Chechnya and adjacent republics in 2004.
