MAKHACHKALA, April 10 (RIA Novosti) - Two militants involved in gang formations' invasion in the republic from the territory of Chechnya in 1999 were detained in Dagestan, a source in Dagestan's law enforcement bodies told RIA Novosti Saturday.
"Arsen Baimuradov, an active participant of gang formations, who took part in warfare against federal troops in Dagestan's mountains in 1999, as well as on Chechen territory, has been detained in a special operation," said the source.
The Novolaksk regional internal affairs department's criminal investigation officers detained Kamil Esuyev, who took part in warfare in Dagestan in Chechnya too.
The detainees are investigated.
