NOVOSIBIRSK, April 10 (RIA Novosti-Siberia's Maksim Koshmarchuk) - The number of miners killed in the Saturday accident reached 22, said Kemerovo civil defense department spokesman Valery Korchagin.
Rescuers are clearing the debris now. 13 people have been rescued, with three of them hospitalized.
The fate of over 20 miners blocked in the mine or under the debris is unknown.
The excavation is very ramified, which complicated rescue work. Carbon dioxide concentration is high in the mine.
