RUSSIAN PM APPOINTS TWO DEPUTY FINANCE MINISTERS

MOSCOW, April 12 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov has signed a decree to appoint Sergei Shatalov and Tatiana Golikova deputy finance ministers.

The Russian Government Information Department told RIA Novosti on Monday that Mr. Fradkov had decreed to relieve Mr. Shatalov and Ms. Golikova of their previous duties as first deputy finance ministers.

Tatiana Golikova was born on February 9, 1966 in Mytishchi, Moscow region.

In 1987, she graduated from the Plekhanov Institute of National Economy with a diploma in labour economy.

In 1987-1990, she was junior researcher of the salaries department of the research institute of the USSR's state labour committee.

In 1990-1992, she became a 1st category economist, a leading economist of the consolidated state budget department of the Finance Ministry of the Soviet republic of Russia.

In 1992, she became the senior economist; chief of the budget policy and analysis section of the budget department; deputy head and then head of the budget department - head of the consolidated budget department; deputy head of the budget department; head of the budget department; head of the budget department; head of the budget policy department of the Russian finance ministry.

In 1998, she was a member of the finance ministry board.

In July 1999-August 2002, she was deputy finance minister of Russia.

In September 2002, she was first deputy finance minister of Russia.

In April 2004 she became deputy finance minister. She was in charge of the departments of budget policy, social sphere and science.

Sergei Shatalov was born on January 2, 1950 in Pskov.

In 1972, he graduated from Leningrad State University (now St. Petersburg State University) as a mathematician. In 1978-1981, he attended post-graduate studies of Pskov Polytechnic Institute.

In 1973-1978, he was assistant and then senior teacher of the Pskov subsidiary of Leningrad Polytechnic Institute.

In 1981-1990, he was assistant professor of the Pskov subsidiary of Leningrad Polytechnic Institute.

In 1990-1993, he was people's deputy of the Russian Supreme Council, chairman of the sub-commission for tax policy, secretary of the commission for budget, plans, taxes and prices.

In 1993-1995, he was director of the tax department of the Centre for Foreign Investment and Privatisation.

In 1995-1998, he was director of the tax department of the Centre for Foreign Investment and Privatisation.

In 1998-2000, he was director of the taxation department of the Pricewaterhouse Coopers Accounting joint stock company.

In January 2000, he was appointed first deputy finance minister of Russia.

In April 2004, he became first deputy finance minister of Russia.

In April 2004, he was appointed deputy finance minister of Russia. He is a candidate of physics and mathematics, assistant professor, author of over 20 research works. He has a good knowledge of English.
