MOSCOW, April 12. (RIA Novosti). At the request of the Chechen government the Moscow government helps it with drafting a general plan of city development and construction in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya . Deputy head of the Department of Urban Development Policy of the Moscow government Konstantin Korolevsky told reporters about this on Monday.
When the general plan is ready, the construction in Grozny will begin.
According to Korolevsky, high-rising buildings will be erected in Grozny.
"Moscow is ready to render assistance in construction, planning and organization of work of any level, but all questions dealing with the construction's financing must be decided by the Chechen side", the department's head said.
He recalled that Grozny used to be one of the most beautiful cities of the Soviet Union and at the same time is was one of the fifteen most polluted cities. In his words, the new general plan envisages the use of ultra-modern technologies.
