MOSCOW, April 12 (RIA Novosti) - Vladimir Putin called to treat the spending of funds inside the space industry deliberately and seriously.
"There is always a lack of money. Sometimes it's difficult to effectively spend it. But I call on the branch's management to treat these issues and problems with due consideration and seriousness, and spend money on the most important things - the main directions," the Russian president said at a function dedicated to the Day of Cosmonautics.
The Day of Cosmonautics is celebrated on April 12 in honor of the first manned space flight, which was performed by Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin on April 12, 1961.
