Vienna, April 18 (RIA Novosti) - Tehran is looking for new allies in its effort to close "the Iranian nuclear file".

This is how a high-ranking source in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) assessed in a talk with RIA Novosti the aims of the Sunday visit of Iranian foreign minister Kamal Harazzi to Italy.

In the source's words, Harazzi intends to secure form Rome that Italy, flowing the example of Germany, France and Britain, backs Tehran's demand to close "the Iranian nuclear file" at a meeting of the IAEA board of governors which will begin on June 14 in the agency's Vienna headquarters.

During the recent visit of IAEA director general Mohamed El Baradei to Tehran, the Iranian authorities confirmed their intention to intensify their cooperation and hand over to the agency all information about their nuclear programs, which is required from them in the light of the signing by Tehran of the additional protocol to the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.
