TBILISI, April 18 (RIA Novosti) - Newly elected Georgian parliamentarians are undergoing drug blood tests, as the Election Law has it. Positives will be barred their seats. 117, about half the house, are through for today. Results will be announced April 20, day before a maiden parliamentary session, says Georgi Lezhava, national Narcological Centre chief. It is too early for whatever forecasts now, he remarked.
Dr. Lezhava mentioned an MP who had acknowledged taking medically prescribed drug-containing medicines with an injury in a recent accident. His test really traced painkillers in his blood.
