Apart from the Berlin declaration, which denounces various forms of anti-Semitism, and which advocates a resolute struggle against anti-Semitism, all OSCE countries approved the so-called action plan, i.e. OSCE resolution No. 607, RIA Novosti's interlocutor added.
One of this plan's important provisions calls on the concerned parties to regularly collect and disseminate information as regards the best practical experience of preventing and countering anti-Semitism In Mr. Nadirov's opinion, this objective can be best accomplished on the basis of national Jewish-culture and Holocaust museums; Jewish communities should also take part in such work, Mr. Nadirov stressed.
The results of our work will depend on the number of countries submitting their own forms of political-tolerance education and specific anti-Semitism prevention options, the Russian delegation's chief explained.
In this connection, he noted the state's top-priority role in preventing anti-Semitism, as well as in coping with all aspects of inter-ethnic strife.
Apart from anti-Semitism, modern democratic society must reject anti-German or anti-French moods, as well as anti-Moslem or anti-Caucasian sentiments, he added.
The OSCE is to hold its next conference in Paris, discussing the relevant Internet experience of fighting anti-Semitism. That conference will also streamline various mechanisms for accumulating and popularizing positive ethnic-tolerance experience in OSCE countries.
