"Stockholm does not doubt the need of a tough rebuff to the terrorist threat when the United States or the European Union are concerned. In the meantime, the Swedish side prefers not to notice the danger of international terrorism which Russia, the Chechen people have to encounter in Chechnya", reads the commentary, which has come to hand at RIA Novosti on Wednesday.
"Regrettably, there is nothing new in this position. It is another manifestation of the well-known bent of the present Swedish Foreign Ministry top for double standards in understanding the world developments", the commentary continues.
"Such an approach is not conducive to the strengthening of the atmosphere of trust in relations between Russia and Sweden", the Russian Foreign Ministry stresses.
In connection with the tragic death of Chechen President Akhmad Kadyrov, Swedish Foreign Minister Laila Freiwalds has said that Stockholm condemns any use of force but does not view the organisers of the May 9 explosion in Grozny as terrorists.
