ST. PETERSBURG, May 14 (RIA Novosti's Dina Danilova) -Terrorism parasitizes regional conflicts, Speaker of France's National Assembly Jean-Louis Debre remarked Friday in his address to a Russo-French inter-parliamentary session at the Constantine Palace of Strelnya, outside St. Petersburg.
Mr. Debre stressed the need to break the deadlock in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and for the Coalition force to hand over power in Iraq to the Iraqi people. He also highlighted the role of parliamentarianism in making sure that security concerns do not make the governments of democratic nations to infringe upon their people's civil rights and liberties.
The chair of the lower French parliamentary house also pointed out the need for Russia and France to share information on sources of financing terrorist activity.
