MOSCOW, May 19 (RIA Novosti) - For the period January-April 2004, nuclear power plants under the Rosenergoatom concern produced over 52,520 million kilowatts of electricity, or as much as in the same period last year, says its press release, circulated on Wednesday.
The balance sheet of Russia's Federal Energy Commission was 99.8 percent met.
Ten of Russia's nuclear electric facilities operate 30 energy units of the 22,242 designed capacity. Since the start of this year, the utilisation rate of the designed capacity has been 81.3 percent.
Violations registered within the international scale, like those in 2003, did not happened. The radiation background at the nuclear power facilities and the adjacent lands is at the normal level and is not exceeding natural, the press release says.
