NEW COMMISSION TO CONTROL BUDGET EXPENDITURE EFFICIENCY

MOSCOW, May 26 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian government approved the makeup of a new governmental commission to improve the efficiency of budget expenditures. Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov signed the order to set up the 17-member commission, the Government Information Department said.

The commission chairman is Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov.

His deputies in the commission are Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin.

The executive secretary of the commission is Alexei Golovkov, the head of Mr. Zhukov's office.

Health and Social Development Minister Mikhail Zurabov, Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Andrei Sharonov, Education and Science Minister Andrei Fursenko, head of the Presidential Expert Department (for coordination) Arkady Dvorkovich and aides to the prime minister Vladimir Milovidov and Boris Frenkel will also join the commission.

The approved members of the commission are: Natalia Burykina, a State Duma deputy (for coordination); Deputy Finance Minister Tatiana Golikova; Anton Drozdov, the director of the Economic and Financial Department; Sergei Kalashnikov, the director of the Social Development and Environmental Protection Department; Yaroslav Kuzminov, the rector of the State University Higher School of Economics; Deputy Industry and Energy Ministry Ivan Materov; Vladimir Mau, the rector of the National Economy Academy; and Olga Pushkareva, the director of the Sectoral Development Department.
