TOKYO, June 2 (RIA Novosti) - Chairman of the culture committee of the Moscow government Sergei Khudyakov offered Japan to exchange museum and photo expositions at the session of the 1st Russo-Japanese culture forum, which opened in Tokyo on Wednesday.

According to him, most cultural exchanges are in theatre, ballet and cinema spheres.

"Moscow has about 40 municipal museums. The Moscow Museum, Pushkin Museum, and Darwin Museum possess a lot of remarkable showpieces, which can be interesting for the Japanese," said a representative of the Moscow government.

The Moscow International Photography House, which organized dozens of international expositions in the last three years, owns a richest collection of historical and modern photos, which can be shown in Japan.

The Russian delegation includes head of the Federal Culture and Cinematography Agency Mikhail Shvydkoi, choreographer Yuri Grigorovich, and art director of the Moscow Art Academic Theatre Oleg Tabakov.

The forum is organized by the international confederation of theatre unions in Moscow and the center of performance arts in Shizuoka headed by theatre director Suzuki Tadashi.

"Our contacts were not developed and now we are forming a coordination center to develop links in all spheres," Mikhail Shvydkoi said.

The forum will run until June 4.
